OR GSMCina has released more details on the global launch of HyperOS, Xiaomi’s new operating system. According to the website, global versions of the company’s mobile phones will begin receiving the operating system as a form of update in first quarter of 2024.
For now, the specific date has not been confirmed by the manufacturer and it is possible that some regions will receive the option to download the platform at a later time.
Revealed in October 2023 with a redesigned interface and artificial intelligence (AI) features, the HyperOS platform will gradually replace MIUI, which the brand currently uses for Android.
HyperOS is also expected to be used in other electronic devices, with smart devices for home use and even in vehicles. For now there are no details on the creation of this ecosystem and on the arrival of the platform in products other than smartphones.
The first cell phones with HyperOS
The report also includes a list of the first Xiaomi mobile phones that have already guaranteed the update to HyperOS. All of them were launched in the last two years and are only part of the main family of mobiles of the brand, so for now without models from the Redmi or Poco subsidiaries, for example.
Devices scheduled to upgrade to HyperOS are as follows:

In addition to the above list, the newly launched line Xiaomi 14 will also have HyperOS. The model is already on sale in China, but has not yet had a global release and is expected to arrive in other countries in just a few months.
In this case, however, the operating system will already leave the factory, an action that should be reflected in the next high-end Xiaomi mobile phones that will be presented and sold in 2024.
HyperOS has open source development and it will be compatible with more than 200 processor platformsincluding chips from market leaders Qualcomm and MediaTek.
