Zelda: Our 8 candidates to play Link in Nintendo’s Lord of the Rings movie

After the box office debacle with Super Mario Bros., Nintendo officially announced on November 8th that they are starting work on a live-action The Legend of Zelda movie! After the triumph of the mustachioed plumber, which earned $1.3 billion worldwide, the Kyoto firm wanted to continue its cinematic adventure with an adaptation of the most popular license since Maro.

However, the bet is too risky for Big N, who has decided to start working on a live-action film rather than an animated film as rumoured. So the question on every fan’s mind is who will play Link, the protagonist of the saga started by Shigeru Miyamoto, the father of Mario and Zelda in 1986?

For now, we just know that the film adaptation will be directed by Wes Ball, director of Labyrinth and the upcoming Planet of the Apes. Avi Aradi will produce the film alongside Shigeru Miyamoto, all under the supervision of Nintendo.
