Itamaraty’s initial prediction is that a group of 32 people will sleep in Egypt and leave for Brazil only on Monday (13)
After a series of attempts to leave the Gaza Strip, this Sunday (12th) a group of 32 Brazilians and their families arrived in Egypt, ready to continue their journey to Brazil. According to Itamaraty, “A group of 32 Brazilians and their family members are already in Egyptian territory, where they were welcomed by a team from the Brazilian embassy in Cairo, responsible for the final phase of the repatriation operation.”
From the original list of 34 names, two people opted out of repatriation and decided to stay in Gaza. “Good morning everyone: we have arrived at the border. Soon we will go to the Egyptian side. Pray for us”declared Hasan Rabee, in a video recorded before leaving Gaza. In another post, he celebrates security in Egypt.
Second Paulino Carvalho Neto, The Brazilian ambassador to Egypt, informed the g1 website, the initial prediction is that, this Sunday, the group will sleep in Egypt and stay to rest and eat adequately. Only on Monday (13th) will the Brazilians continue their journey home. When the group arrives in Brazil, they must stay for two nights in Brasilia, in FAB accommodation, to recover from the trip.
