Launched by Netflix at the end of summer 2023, the first season of the live adaptation of One Piece fulfilled all the promises: adventure, action, impressive battles with elastic limbs, a triple katana (with a huge fake connection after it was fixed) or a clown-puzzle, a little eye-catcher Appearances from Pandaman… and of course, highly engaging characters, thanks to amazing casting, to discover Inaki Godoi (Monkey D. Luffy) and his pirate crew.
But what wasn’t revealed yet was the (very) good mood that prevailed during the filming of this first season of One Piece. And this is a Netflix blooper that illustrates that. In particular, we discover that Arlong’s (McKinley Belcher III) nose often gets in his hair (his and his partners’), that there were text misses, that Emily Rudd (Nami) is dangerous with a stick, that Jeff Ward (Baggy The Clown) has trouble juggling, that he Wins FIFA… and that Luffy can be full (yes, yes!). Check out these cool pictures below:
These images will keep fans waiting (at least for a little while) while the end of the actors’ strike should start production on Season 2. This new round of episodes should see the arrival of Jamie Lee Curtis, who has received from the showrunners the role for which he has actively fought, a character that fans have been waiting for but extremely difficult to realize in live, a new naval officer, as strong as he is. A memorable as well as iconic villain from manga and anime. Luffy and his crew are supposed to visit Loguetown and Drum Island a priori, but logically won’t return to Netflix until 2025.
