Jacob Elordi, from Euphoria, refused to audition to play Superman in a new film

For GQ UK magazine, the actor revealed his lack of interest in superhero films

Climbed as Elvis Presley in biopic Priscilla (2023), Jacob Elordi has won increasingly relevant roles in cinemas – but the actor refused to participate in the auditions to play the next Steel manwhich will be directed by james gunn.

After ups and downs with the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), Warner Bros. I was always told to give a vague answer or my agent would get mad at me. ‘Anything could happen!’ And obviously anything can happen, but at this stage in my life, I don’t see myself having any interest in that. I like doing what I would watch and I get very restless watching these films.

The next Man of Steel DC Comics will be interpreted by David Corenswetwhich will star Superman: Legacy (2025) alongside Rachel Brosnahanwho was cast as the reporter Lois Lane. Scheduled for release on July 11, 2025, Superman: Legacy is the first film in the new DCU.

The next project of ElordiPriscilla – is confirmed for release on December 26th in Brazilian cinemas.
