Will the Loki: MCU series have a third season?

If you are a fan of Thor’s evil brother and are waiting for news on the third season of Loki streaming, then you are in the right place. I can already tell you that the lead writer of the MCU series, Eric Martin, revealed, in a recent interview with the site Cinematic blendwho thought of Loki as a series born for only two seasons.

But stay calm, breathe and, in the beginning, everything can change when it comes to series, right? The authors of the project and the production team did not imagine the possibility of a third season, but they were not categorical in the interview, completely denying this possibility, so let’s explore this possibility.

Well, again in the interview, the main writer said: “We went through this [a série] like a book in two parts. First season, it’s the first part. Season two, we close the book on Loki. Where it might go next, I don’t know. I just wanted to tell a complete, complete story in two seasons.” At least, for now, there is no news or indication of a sequel. But since everything can change, when it comes to series, we won’t give up so easily.

Well, then let’s recap what happened in this last chapter of Eric Martin’s “imaginary book”…, or rather, in the second season.

What could happen from now on with Loki?

The second season of “Loki” begins immediately after the end of the first season. At the moment, we see Loki committed to preserving the multiverse in the face of the threat posed by He Who Remains/ (Jonathan Majors). Meanwhile, the Time Variance Authority descends into chaos and the Sacred Timeline (within the Marvel Cinematic Universe) begins to disintegrate.

After several attempts to stabilize the structure of reality, Loki ultimately unlocks new abilities as a result of his time-traveling adventures that allow him to personally maintain the timelines.

In doing so, Loki effectively took the place of his enemy. This could mean he will be out of the picture for a while. After all, keeping deadlines stable is a full-time job (with no benefits).

So does this mean that “Loki” season 3 won’t happen? Right? It’s not really like that…

Kevin Wright, the producer, said before Martin’s statements that there had been some reflection on what the “next step” would be, and admitted that there is, indeed, an “enthusiasm for this internally.”

In the end he said he agreed, that there is a conclusion here, but that Loki comes up with other possibilities and that “new books can be made”.

And as the Marvel multiverse grows, with more adventures planned such as: “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” and “Avengers: Secret Wars”, Loki can easily fit into this puzzle, after all he is the “god of deception”.
