Warning, the following paragraphs contain spoilers for the final episode of Sophie Cross Season 2. If you don’t want to know anything, move on!
France 3 aired this Tuesday evening the last episode of season 2 of Sophie Cross, which offered the characters played by Alexia Barlier and Thomas Juan. They actually made a series of discoveries before the final revelation left everyone speechless.
In this episode, Thomas and Sophie Cross, who are still searching for their son Arthur, who disappeared in the first episode of the detective series, are finally reunited with their son. A happy moment interrupted by a horrifying discovery.
Commissioner Lecomte, played by Fred Biancone, who was responsible for finding the little boy, did play a role in his abduction. Along with Marchand, he kidnapped children from poor backgrounds to give them up for adoption to families who could offer them a better life.
As for Arthur, it was Marchand’s idea to destroy Sophie and Thomas. When he found out, it was too late. In her final moments, Sophie, who can’t believe she’s been lied to for 3 years, vows to do whatever it takes to end her life in prison.
Fred Bianconi finally reacts
in the interview Recreational televisionFred Bianconi responded to this final revelation, which he himself describes as “huge“. “Well done! The surprise is over. Especially since he kept repeating that he was going to do whatever it took to take down the missing children, one by one if necessary, and Arthur in particular.“, he explained.
The actor also admitted that he was not aware of this surprising turn of events. The writers informed him that it would be a surprise for him to say more.
For Fred Biancone, Lecomte’s character is convinced that by kidnapping these children, he was working for the good of all.
“Lecomte is truly convinced that he did everything he could to help these children. But things got really tough and apart from the kidnappings, which are really scary, he also killed at least three people to get out of trouble.
But to save his conscience, he convinced himself that these children were actually saved, because he kidnapped them to find a family, to find love.“
It now remains to be seen if Lecomte’s character will return for Sophie Cross season 3, which is currently being written according to France 3. At the moment, Fred Bianconi doesn’t have an answer to that question yet, if there is one. I can already imagine what will happen next.
“I don’t know what they are going to do with my character in the series.“, he confided before adding:We can only imagine Sophie Cross becoming the lawyer she was at the beginning of the trial against him!“
