‘I’m picturing you in the same white suit above’: David Schwimmer pays tribute to Matthew Perry, his Friends co-star

After Matt LeBlanc, who paid tribute to his late friend with a very touching joke, Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston’s Jerry David Schwimmer paid tribute to Matthew Perry, Chandler’s famous interpreter in the TV series Friends and Who. He left us on October 28 at the age of 54.

“Matty, thanks for ten incredible years of laughter and creativity”Written by the actor who portrayed Ross Geller for 10 seasons of the legendary series.

“I will never forget your impeccable timing and comic delivery. You could take a normal line of dialogue and twist it to your heart’s content, making it completely original and hilariously funny. (…). And you had a heart. The heart that you were generous with, that you shared with us and that allowed us to build a family with 6 strangers.”

David Schwimmer continued his tribute by quoting one of the series’ most iconic episodes. Who had memories that were hard to swallowWhich many fans consider one of the best, and in which six friends share their worst Thanksgiving experiences:

“This photo is from one of my favorite moments with you.”wrote the actor in reference to a photo of Chandler and Ross being roommates.

“Today he makes me smile and cry at the same time. I can imagine you up there in that same white suit, hands in your pockets, looking around: ‘Could he really be there?’ Have more clouds?”

A beautiful twist on one of Chandler’s favorite lines on the famous show.
