Rico Melquiades begins therapy after criticism of his new appearance: ‘Depression’

Rico Melquiades suffers from depressive episodes after a spate of attacks involving his new appearance. The influencer stated that he is taking care of himself with the help of a therapist and psychotropic drugs. The topic came up in an interview with journalist Fábia Oliveira.

The former Fazenda said the criticism has intensified with her latest plastic surgeries, in which she spared no effort or resources to achieve her transformation. Rico spent around R$50,000 on cosmetic procedures.

“I’m taking care of myself. I’m depressed, but I’ve started therapy. On Monday (11/20) I’ll start using anxiety medications and antidepressants. I’ve already had [depressão], but it got worse after surgery. Not because of the surgery, but the attacks seem to have increased,” she explained.

Despite the situation, Rico has no intention of temporarily moving away from social media and also took stock of the pros and cons of the Internet: “It’s very little, you know? At the same time that the Internet sinks me, when I record, it’s a way to talk to people, because I live alone a lot. When I pick up my cell phone it’s like I’m talking to someone. Even if I can’t see them, I know there are people there,” she reflected.

“The Internet destroys me, but I have become a hostage to it. It’s like a toxic, abusive relationship. You know it’s not good for you, but you’re still there. This is what the Internet is like for those with a weak mind… You know that right now you’re not well, but you’re still there,” he concluded.
