“I can’t stop crying”… Young Sheldon actors react to the end of the series

The ax fell yesterday…CBS announced that the sitcom Young Sheldon, which chronicles Sheldon Cooper’s youth, will end at the end of its 7th season, which will begin airing next February on the American channel. The final episode will air on May 16, 2023 in the United States, and will be an hour-long special.

An interpreter for Young Sheldon’s character, Iain Armitage, said yesterday that he spoke about the cancellation on his Instagram. The young actress, who started her career on Big Little Lies, posted a photo on set with Reagan Revord and Montana Jordan, her fictional siblings, with the caption:In case you’re wondering, I love my family.”

There are about 200 other people who make @youngsheldoncbs exist and I’m grateful for each and every one of them. We’re going to make the best Season 7 ever – and there’s going to be a lot of laughter and tears behind the scenes because I really love all these people.

Reagan Revord, who plays Miss, Sheldon’s twin sister, commented on the heartbreaking message: “I can’t stop crying“, he wrote before addingMy family forever!

Created by Chuck Laurie and Steven Molaro, Young Sheldon is a spin-off of The Big Bang Theory, a sitcom that quickly became iconic and ran on CBS for nearly 12 years.

Launching in 2017, this prequel follows the youth of Sheldon Cooper, a young prodigy gifted with an extraordinary intelligence who hardly realizes that this gift won’t help much in East Texas, where church and football are king.

Very quickly, his difference affects his family members. And when he enters high school at the age of 9, the young boy, vulnerable and naive, will have to face the world around him.

The cancellation of “Young Sheldon” at the end of season 7 is not really a surprise, since the events told in the series begin to coincide with the stories told in the Big Bang Theory. Therefore, the sitcom is gradually coming to a natural end.

Young Sheldon makes his first appearance in France on NRJ12, which aired Season 5 last May. The first five seasons are now available on Netflix.
