Created by one of the best known funk pages on the internet, Speaking of Funky announced last Tuesday (14), the candidates for the Sobre Funk Award: the best of the year 2023. With 15 categories, voting is available on this websitewhere you just need to choose the category and vote for the artist who you think should win the prize.
In the “best funk singer” category, artists such as MC Hariel, MC IG, MC Daniel, Kevin O Chris, MC Paiva and MC Ryan SP were nominated. In the “best trap singer” category stand out KayBlack, MC Cabelinho, MC Poze do Rodo, Veigh, Vulgo FK and Wiu.
Women are also highlighted in the awards and in the “best singer” category, the artists MC Dricka, MC Pipokinha, MC Mika, Treyce, Melody and Triz were nominated, who is also present in the “revelation of the year” category – being the only woman among names like MC Tato, Nilo, Puterrier, MC Vine7 and TrapLaudo.
In the most famous categories, such as “video of the year”, MC Caveirinha was nominated for “Cartão Black”, in collaboration with his brother KayBlack. Veigh for the “Clickbait” project, Matuê for “Conexões de Máfia”, MC Daniel with “Grana, Dinheiro e Fama”, MC Hariel, MC Lipi, MC Neguinho from Kaxeta and MC Paulin from Capital with “Flores de Plástico”, and finally MC Daniel and MC Paulin from Capital with “Renasci das Cinzas”.
