Flamengo is preparing for the clash against Bragantino, which will take place this Thursday, at 9.30pm (Brasilia time), at the Maracanã, as a delayed match of the 30th matchday of the Brazilian Championship. With this, the club will rent jets for athletes who are with their teams.
The Chilean Erick Pulgar and the Uruguayans Varela and Arrascaeta are in contention for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers and will play this Tuesday, two days before the match against Massa Bruta. The idea is that the midfielders can strengthen coach Tite’s team in a direct duel at the top of the table.
Pulgar will play against Ecuador, in Quito and Varela and Arrascaeta will be in Montevideo to face Bolivia. The duo are regulars for Flamengo and could be greatly missed by the team, which needs to add points to continue fighting for a place in the next Libertadores and Brasileirão title.
Rubro-Negro currently occupies sixth place in the Brazilian championship with 57 points, two less than Bragantino, who is fourth. At that moment Mengão was supposed to play the preliminary phase of the continental tournament.
This sunny Saturday, Mengão held another activity at Ninho do Urubu!☀️🔴⚫️
