Chris Hemsworth felt insecure about acting in Ghostbusters remake
Chris Hemsworth has numerous successful roles under his belt, but is not so pleased with his performance in the remake of Ghostbuster (2016). In an interview with QAthe actor revealed that he had to improvise in several scenes, making him a little insecure with the performance.
“I said to Paul [Feig, diretor do filme], ‘there’s not much on the page, like, what do you want me to do?’ He said, ‘Oh, we’ll find out when you get here.’ So I said, ‘Okay, why not? Let’s go.’” he recalled Hemsworth.
Actor continued, “I got there, I went to the studio the day before we started shooting and he handed me the script, I read it and said, ‘There’s nothing here yet. Like, what am I doing?’ And he said, ‘Alright, let’s improvise and have fun.’ And my immediate reaction was, this is not just the end of my career, but I’m going to ruin this movie, I’m going to let everyone down, I’ve never done this before, what am I doing?”
In the movie, Hemsworth interprets Kevin Beckmanclumsy but very attractive receptionist, hired by the new team of Ghostbusterto help them on missions. The cast also includes names such as Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.
Netflix announces Ghostbusters animated series
After the release of Ghostbusters – Beyond (2021), the franchise of Ghostbuster returned to prominence in Hollywood. THE Netflix announced that it will make an animated series based on the iconic saga started in 1984, according to information from the ScreenCrush.
The series will be produced by Jason Reitmandirector’s son Ivan Reitman – responsible for The ghost hunters (1984) -, and Gil Kenan. It is worth remembering how both were responsible for the Ghostbusters – Beyond.
