No more Star Wars saga, one of the biggest secrets of which eight characters knew before Luke Skywalker. And, in particular, the excellent Return of the Jedi, Episode 6 (but the third film in chronological order), which many wanted to see as the end of the intergalactic adventure imagined by George Lucas.
Released in cinemas in 1983, Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi plunges the audience into a time when the galactic empire is more powerful than ever: the construction of a new weapon, the Death Star, threatens the entire universe… Arrested after betraying Lando Calrissian, Han Solo hands over the vile Smuggler Jabba the Hutt by Boba Fett.
After the first escape attempt, led by Princess Leia and also captured by Jabba, Luke Skywalker and Lando manage to free their friends. Han, Leia, Chewbacca, C-3PO and Luke, now a Jedi, then fly on an all-important mission to the forest moon of Endor to destroy the Death Star’s shield generator and allow Rebel Alliance pilots to attack.

In the third galactic opus, we celebrate the presence of an important character: the smuggler Jabba the Hutt. A huge toad character that required three animators hidden in his belly and a total of about ten puppets!
Awarded the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects, Return of the Jedi, directed by Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and the late Carrie Fisher, was a huge success grossing $475 million worldwide. In France, the feature film was also a huge public success with over 4.2 million viewers.
Finally, note that in Return of the Jedi, George Lucas introduces new creatures with the Ewoks, a kind of small bear cubs that live in the moon trees of the Forest of Endor.
Considered by many to be a largely mercantile plot element (the creatures would also benefit from two spin-off films, The Caravan of Courage and The Battle for Endor, and a television series), the Ewoks were originally Wookiees (the species Chewbacca belongs to) before being reduced to a more primitive to identify the species.
