“Terrible“and”restrictive”: These are the words used by Paul Rudd to describe the diet he had to follow to become Ant-Man. During a recent interview on the “Off Menu” podcast, where guests talk about their “dream menus,” hosts Ed Gamble and James Acaster asked the actor what type of water he preferred.
“When I had to train for the Ant-Man movie and was on a very restrictive diet, my reward was soda water.– he answered with a laugh. “That’s how terrible this diet was. I thought, “Okay, now I’ll have sparkling water, I deserve it.”“

The actor also explained that he basically followed this diet for all the Marvel movies. “Once you get into it, it’s actually not that hard“, adding that he didn’t mind eating”Really boring food, every time, over and over again“Especially after he woke up.”A lot of energy.“

Did the Marvel cast compare notes on their training while working on Infinity War or Endgame? Paul Rudd answers. “I think people do. But I also think I worked the hardest, ate the best, and looked the scariest. All I had to do was work out, eat great, just look bad. Not a big one.“
He continued: “I remember in Endgame, Chris Hemsworth always had these Tupperware containers and he was eating this slush, which was just a puree of something. He’s working out and then you’re standing next to a guy like that and I’m just like, “Well, what’s all this for?” Why kill myself when it could exist and then I look at myself and it exists. I’ll never get there. Good thing it was Ant-Man and not Thor. But I tried to practice and it didn’t work.“
