In Lima, in 2019, Brazil had reached the podium 308 times, marking the best record of the tournament. However, in this year’s edition (2023), in Santiago, the Green and Yellow Team reached the number of 343 medals won.

Vila Parapan, in Cerrillos, was the venue for the celebration, which did not include ticket sales to the general public. In this way only athletes and volunteers were present at the ceremony.

The event began with the raising of the Chilean flag. In addition to climbing the tree, everyone in Cerrillos sang the Chilean anthem, accompanied by an orchestra present on site. The person responsible for handing over the flag was Chilean swimmer and Parapan 2023 bronze medalist Kiara Godoy. At the end, the great moments of the competition were remembered.
