James Cameron, director of Avatar, comments on post-production of the third film

Cameron reported that the film is expected to premiere in late 2025 and opens up details about the post-production process

James Camerondirector of Avatarrevealed some details about the third film in the sequel during a press conference with Association of Producers and Developers (SPADA) in New Zealand. The director commented on the post-production stage of his project, and confirmed the possible release date.

“We are in a frantic 2-year post-production process at the moment […] So, it will be Christmas 2025.” he said Cameron (via Variety).

Avatar 3 currently scheduled to hit theaters on December 19, 2025, the film continues the events seen in Avatar 2: The Path of Water.

“Each film Avatar It’s an exciting but epic undertaking, one that takes time to bring to the level of quality that we, as filmmakers, seek and that audiences expect […] The team is hard at work and can’t wait to take audiences back to Pandora in December 2025.” explains producer Jon Landau, via Twitter.
