Apple could introduce four Vision Pro models, including the cheapest option

The second-generation Apple Vision Pro could come with four variants, including one that would cost half as much as the current model

OR Apple Vision Pro sales haven’t started yet, but rumors have increasingly turned to the company’s next generations of augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) headsets. Apple. According to the latest information, the Cupertino brand could present up to four new options in the future, including one significantly cheaper.

After all, the price of US$ 3,500 (about R$ 17,000 with simple conversion) is much higher than competitors of brands like Metaand this could represent an obstacle to the arrival of new consumers for the Vision Pro.

Details provided by sources about the production line show that Apple intends to cover more price points in the second generation, including headphones that would cost half as much.

Even so, the rumored price of US$1,750 (~R$8,500) is still much higher than all options made available by Meta, including the Quest 3 (US$499, ~R$2,431) and Quest Pro (US$999, ~R$4,866).

The landscape is not much different if you consider the options of other brands, like Sony’s PlayStation VR 2 ($550, ~R$2,679) or the valve index (US$999, ~R$4,866).

Vision Pro would have cost cuts

Reducing the price of the Vision Pro would be possible through the use of cheaper materials, which would reduce product costs by 50%. However, it is not yet known which headphone features will be removed in this new model.

It is possible to hypothesize that the product could lose part of its cameras and motion sensors, which appear in large quantities in the already well-known Vision Pro. Furthermore, another possibility is the arrival of a screen with a slightly lower resolution, although nothing has been confirmed until the model.

A new generation Vision Pro would remain the most advanced option in the four-headphone lineup, possibly with some performance upgrades and other components. Details of the other two intermediate variants have not yet been released.

The first Apple headphones are expected to go on sale early next year, but the brand has not yet released a specific date for this to happen. According to recent rumors the launch would be postponed from January to Marchas Apple would carry out further testing and marketing plans for wearable devices.
