Netflix released a new trailer for The World After Us, a new apocalyptic film from the streaming platform, which premieres on December 8th. In the story, a family’s vacation in a luxurious house is compromised by a cyber attack, which causes a blackout on all devices.
The situation gets even worse when two strangers appear at the door and they begin to notice that things are getting worse and the world is collapsing, with no possibility of salvation for the family and the rest of the population. Watch the trailer:
Based on the book of the same name by Rumaan Alamthe film is written and directed by Sam Esmailfrom the series Mr. Robot: Hacker Society (2015-2019), and starring Julia Roberts (A beautiful woman), Mahershala Ali (Moonlight: Under the Moonlight), Ethan Hawke (Before Dawn), Myha’la Herrold (Industry), Farrah Mackenzie (Utopia), Charlie Evans (Everything’s Gonna Be Okay) It is Kevin Bacon (Moon Knight).
The World After Us is the first fiction film produced by Higher Ground Productions, the company owned by the former president of the United States, Barack Obamaand the former first lady, MichelleObamawhich previously focused on children’s programs, documentaries and historical dramas.
