Ezra Miller will be eliminated from the role of The Flash

Warner Bros. I would have hit the hammer. According to the website Deadline, Ezra Miller will be released from the role of Flash following the release of the hero film, which is in post-production for release in June 2023. He will not be part of other projects as the hero. DC Comics.

The actor was arrested twice, in March and April, for problems in a bar and at a party in Hawaii. But the situation has only worsened since then, with two restrictive measures obtained in court against him in recent days, by parents of teenagers. He is accused of manipulating and drugging Native American activist Tokata Iron Eyes, whom he approached when she was 12, protecting her when she dropped out of school and ran away from home in recent months, at the age of 18 years. And also threaten a family and harass a non-binary child who is currently 12 years old.

The studio would have offered to help, but has already stated that it is no longer possible to work with him on youth franchises.

Deadline also learned that “The Flash” release strategy is not yet defined and the studio may choose to stream Andy Muschietti’s (“It”) film directly. Another possibility is that it will be released in theaters without an ad campaign with cast interviews.

But the extended shoot to get Miller out of production wouldn’t be feasible, because he’s present in pretty much every scene and still has a dual role, like a Flash version of an alternate timeline. A new film should be made. This does not prevent, however, from inserting extra scenes to replace it at the end of the story, creating a transition in the sheet.

Either way, it’s a big deal for DC Films, which intended to use the multiverse storyline of “The Flash” to revive its heroes in theaters.

In addition to “The Flash”, the company also faces public relations problems related to “Aquaman 2”, thanks to the participation of actress Amber Heard, desecrated on social media in attacks of explicit misogyny due to the libel lawsuit filed by Johnny Depp. . .

The “Aquaman” sequel will hit theaters three months early in March 2023.
