Synopsis
The story introduces Brynn Adams (Kaitlyn Dever), a young woman who works as a seamstress and still lives in her childhood home. Alone in the world, she grieves the loss of her mother Sarah (Lauren L. Murray) and her best friend Maude (Dari Lynn Griffin).
This causes the young woman to adopt a reclusive lifestyle, which worsens her case of anxiety disorder, making her alienated from her community. One night, Brynn is awakened by strange noises coming from inside her house, only to discover that they are extraterrestrial intruders.
The plot turns into an action-packed clash, in which the protagonist must fight for her survival while coming to terms with her past.

The film’s cast is rather small and includes few names besides Kaitlyn Dever (“Ticket to Paradise”), in the role of protagonist Brynn Adams.
Zack Duhame (“American Sniper”) plays the postman; Lauren L. Murray (“Salt of the Earth”) as Brynn’s late mother, Sarah; Geraldine Singer (“The Devil’s Child”) plays Mrs. Collins; Dari Lynn Griffin (“Mayfair Witches”) plays Maude; and Dane Rhodes (“The Visitor”) as Police Chief Collins.
