The Walking Dead: What’s Next for Daryl Dixon’s Series?

Anticipated by fans of The Walking Dead, the spin-off series based on Daryl Dixon ended its broadcast this Friday, December 8, at the end of its sixth episode. The character played by Norman Reedus is not long enough to meet the expectations of fans, will the series return for season 2?

As its open-ended ending suggests, Daryl Dixon’s series was not designed to last one season, nor was the mini-series The Ones Who Live, which was expected to air on February 25. And also, thanks to the success of the previous spin-off – Dead City – Daryl Dixon has been renewed for a 2nd season before it even started airing!

“We are currently filming” Norman Reedus confirmed in an interview he gave us. “We’re going to have Carol appear, played by the tremendous Melissa McBride. (…) These two parallel stories – her character’s and mine – will intersect at an unexpected moment in the middle of the grove. “Other events.”

No air date is currently known, but fans can expect Season 2 to air in 2024. Its production was not actually affected by the cast strike, as it was shot in large part in France, and thus the cast union is different from the one that caused the shutdown in Hollywood.

Season 1 of Daryl Dixon is now available to watch exclusively on Paramount+.
