The plot revolves around Stella Sandell, the teenage daughter of a pastor. Their lives suddenly become tumultuous when Stella faces murder charges.

As mentioned, Almost Perfect Family is based on a 2018 Swedish novel, and the series covers pretty much every detail in it. MT Edvardsson’s book is part of a series of novels which, to date, includes three other titles. However, they have little to no connection with each other, except that all the stories are set in the county of Scania, Sweden.
