Frank Dubosky, who recently celebrated his 60th birthday, is currently starring in Joyeux Noël, a delightful comedy for the end of the year holidays. To celebrate the film’s release, we’ve deciphered the famous comedian’s filmography to find his worst film according to AlloCiné audience ratings.
To find your worst movie, you don’t have to go far! With a score of 1.1 out of 5, All Inclusive (2019) wins the award for worst feature film directed by Frank DuBosky. However, he is not the only one who received this disastrous score. Cinéman, released in October 2009, received the same rating of 1.1 out of 5!
Directed by Fabien Onteniente, All Inclusive presents Bruno (Franck Dubosc). He was stopped at the airport by his fiancee and is flying alone for a week to an All Inclusive vacation club on a Caribbean island. Bad news never comes alone, she will have to share her room with Jean-Paul Cisse, the very intrusive eternal bachelor.
With Lulu, a very open pensioner and widow, Caroline, Manon and Sonia, three friends who have come to bury the divorce of the former, and Edouard Laurent, the director of the Princess Caribbean Club, the two vacationers are not ready to forget their presence in the coconut trees of the sun.
All Inclusive heartbreaking and sluggish?
Follier is not kind to comedy: “How can the producers get such a bad script? The dialogues are pathetic, the gags are rubbish, it’s weak.camping, vulgar, never funny. But what Thierry Lhermitte and Josiane Balasco came into this mess? Fabien Onteniente is in the worst position. And if we tell ourselves that the best is already heartbreaking…”
Lokdu B is also appalled by the film’s poor quality: “What can we say about this All Inclusive except that it is really very bad. Everything is thrown away: the script is terrible, the gags are pathetic, the story goes on… For me Dubosk is over! He has been doing it on screen for years, don’t make anyone laugh anymore. Boy of the year absolutely all over again should be avoided.”
“This film is sluggish, the bells have rung, the characters are pathetic! We’re glad when it stops, especially when we see the arrival of Kev Adams, one of the worst and who announces the horror of the second opus. . . I hope not! Avoid! It’s hard to laugh, even if you try very hard , it’s hard for you, you can’t”Marishani asserts.
A big turnstile cinematographer?
As for Cinéman, directed by Yann Moix, viewers are also upset: “In my never-ending exploration of this vast world that is cinema, I have never come across a film that is such a perfect and unflinching definition of the failure of the word. I try to convince myself that I don’t see Kinneman as an attack on cinema, but. The more hours pass, the more difficult it becomes.” Dex and Kino prove.
“The first two words that come to mind are: big turf”, balances Sang-Coeur, which lives up to its pseudonym with a play on words. Shmifmuf adds another layer: “The actors are as bad as pigs, especially Frank Dubosky. The script is stupid and the direction is totally adequate. .”
Frank DuBosky is currently starring in Merry Christmas alongside Emmanuelle DeVos.
