They starred in two of the most popular sitcoms of the 2000s and 2010s. Along with the extended family, Jon Cryer aka Alan in My Uncle Charlie and Donald Faison aka Turk in Scrubs will appear opposite each other for the first time. And next to them we find Abigail Spencer (Mad Men, Grey’s Anatomy).
NBC and Peacock have just released the first images from the sitcom, in which the cast talks about their experience working together. Abigail Spencer describes the series:
It’s a triple, but not in a bad way
He also explains that he “I have admired and watched Jon Cryer’s work for many years and to perform with him is truly incredibleDonald Faison joins her on working with the former My Uncle Charlie star, saying:This is a dream come true“.
Created by Mike O’Malley, the series follows Jim (Jon Cryer) and Julia (Abigail Spencer). After an amicable divorce, they decided to continue raising their children in the family home while taking turns deciding who would stay with them.
Navigating the waters of divorce and sharing children becomes more difficult for Jim when Trey (Donald Faison), the owner of his favorite sports team, enters the picture and becomes Julia’s new love interest.
It is scheduled to launch on NBC on December 23rd and on Peacock’s streaming platform at the same time. The latter is not available in France and we do not yet know when and on which channel or streaming service the series will be offered in the territory.
