Kristen Stewart will be honored with the Visionary Award at the opening of the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, in recognition of her work as an uncompromising artist and her contribution to the field of independent cinema.
“Stewart’s profound work as an actress has exemplified the bold and risky storytelling that Sundance has championed for many years,” festival organizers said in a statement Thursday (12/14).
Stewart was nominated for an Oscar for her portrayal of Princess Diana in “Spencer” (2021) and was the first American actress to receive the Cesar Award (the French Oscar) for her role in “Above clouds” (2014).
