This is a new series currently hitting Prime Video: Los Farad is number 2 in the platform’s top viewership charts. This eight-episode Spanish thriller follows the rise of an ordinary and ambitious young man to become a famous arms dealer.
Miguel Herrán, known to fans of the series as Rio in La Casa de Papel and Cristiani in Elite, plays Oscar, an aerobics instructor who dreams of opening a gym and making a name for himself in Madrid in the 1980s.
But his life changes when he meets Sara Farad (Susanna Abaitoua), a young woman from a wealthy family who hides dark secrets. Thanks to him, Oscar ends up in the fascinating and dangerous environment of the Costa del Sol, with its jet set, its eccentricities and its geopolitics.
The Farad family offers Oscar a bright but unexpected future in the arms trade. Except that every dream has a price, and Oscar learns the hard way that friends can become enemies.

Created by Mariano Barroso and Alejandro Hernández, Los Farad is inspired by the book the perfectorWritten by David López Canales, it tells the story of how Monzer Al Kassar gradually became a famous international arms dealer in 1980s Marbella.
But this is only the starting point. Even if the creators freely take inspiration from this criminal figure, the rest of Los Farada is pure invention. The characters don’t really exist.
Following the rise of Oscar and the rise of a mafia family, the creators of Los Faradas tell the story of the dangers and devastating consequences of the arms trade industry since the 1980s, which continues today and is now ravaging the world.
Miguel Herrán’s voice provides the rhythm and tells the incredible story of his character, who is always on the alert, who tries his best to find his place in this ruthless environment and defends his interests and his life.
