However, specialized critics were not favorable to the film in general. Tests described him as apathetic, incapable of generating both fear and laughter.

In the plot, a group of supposed experts in spiritual activities are summoned to perform an exorcism in a haunted house.

This sixth installment in the “The Exorcist” series serves as a direct sequel to the classic “The Exorcist (1973),” ignoring the other sequels. Directed by David Gordon Green, “The Devotee” displeased most critics.
