Warning, this article contains spoilers for the last episode of Time Traveler Wife Season 1!
Created by Stephen Moffat (Sherlock, Dr. Hu) for HBO, the TV series Time Traveler’s Wife, dedicated to the difficult love story of Claire (Rose Leslie) and her time traveler Henry (Theo James), aired on OCS in France. Where the sixth and final episode of the first season is available from today.
An episode that ends with the marriage of the characters, an event that takes place in the middle of Audrey Nieffenger’s book. Time is nothing From which the transmission is adapted. Contrary to many people’s beliefs, Time Travel is not written as a mini-series because it does not tell the whole original novel.
Many of the important passages in Niefenger’s work, moreover, are presented in a film adaptation released in 2009, have not yet been shown on the show, and the intrigues depicted during his first season have not led to conclusions such as the story of Henry’s torn legs.
Talked to TVLineStephen Moffat revealed that he already had some idea about the sequel: “I had a plan for how many seasons we would do – I won’t tell you! – and where each one ends, but how far we could go.“
He especially knows that the series will not last many seasons, the adaptation is obligatory: “There is enough material in the book for more than one. But at the same time, I would still call it a limited series because it can not last forever.
He has to stop. We already know quite a bit about how it ends. We know from episode 3 that he was shot in the woods. We know he will lose his legs at some point. This is a story of fate, I think. The end is integrated at the beginning.“
So it is clear that The Time Traveler’s Wife can continue, but HBO has not yet made a statement on the subject. The screenwriter still confirmed this in an interview Collider : He is ready to write a second season as soon as he gets the green light from the channel. It remains only for the fans of the show to cross their fingers!
