The Crown season 6: Did Harry really wear this titular charmer disguise like in the Netflix series?

Netflix released the final episodes of The Crown season 6 online last week, bringing the historic run to a close. In the tenth, while the queen hesitates to abdicate in favor of her son, who intends to remarry, the two princes live in youth.

When they are invited to a colonial-themed birthday party, Harry and William must find a costume. A younger child will choose a Nazi outfit with a swastika. A disguise that will make headlines the next day and that will not go down well with public opinion at all.

This event actually happened in 2005. Faced with an outcry over his choice of disguise, Harry had to issue a public apology. Encouraged by his father Charles, the youngster also visits the country’s chief rabbi, who lectures him about not joking around the Holocaust.

Diana’s son will be “forgiven” by society. But after so many escapades, the royal family decides to send Harry to do his military service, far from the country…

Did Kate Middleton’s mother start an affair with Prince William, as the Netflix series claims?

The story does not end there

In early 2023, Prince Harry, who has since left the royal family, published his shocking biography, titled substitute. In this 544-page book, he shares his perspective on his family, his relationships with its members, and recalls his busy childhood.

Among the devastating revelations he has made there, Meghan Markle’s husband is notably returning to the Nazi costume affair.

Harry explains that William and Kate knew about the choice of suit and that they even advised him in this direction. As he hesitates between the swastika and the pilot’s outfit, he says:

“I called Will and Kate, asked what they thought, they were both screaming with laughter.”. If both played a role in the story, then the media only attacked Harry. An injustice that the latter suffered badly.

William’s involvement in the Netflix series is pretty obvious, as he’s not shocked by the costume choice. He also states: “Wearing this outfit doesn’t make him a Nazi”. Everything is said.
