This six-episode miniseries, created by Will Treacy and directed by Stephen Frears (The Queen), tells the story of a year spent inside the walls of a modern European regime palace that begins to crumble. It is scheduled to launch Monday, March 4 on Prime Video with Warner Pass.
In addition to Kate Winslet, the cast includes Matthias Schoenaerts, Guillaume Gallien (as the dictator’s husband), Andrea Riseborough, Martha Plimpton and Hugh Grant. What beautiful people!
From this almost two minutes of tone, we hear that the regime presents itself as a genuine political satire, with a deadpan tone that is so British.
