Netflix’s Avatar: We’re (already) in awe of new photos from The Last Airbender

This is one of the most anticipated series of 2024. On February 22, Netflix subscribers will discover Avatar: The Last Airbender, a live-action adaptation. Cartoon of the same name.

The action begins when Aang, a young boy trapped in a glacier for a century, must learn to master the four elements in order to fulfill his destiny and bring peace to his world by becoming the Avatar. In particular, he will have to fight the fiery tribe that wants to take over.

After a spectacular first trailer that kept fans entertained, new photos of the supporting characters have been revealed. And once again, we can’t help but think this new iteration is well designed.

Casey Kemp-Horinek is a great-grandmother

Danny Pud is a mechanic

Sebastian Amoruso is a Jet

Arden Cho is June

Maria Zhang is Suki, Tamlin Tomita is Mary Yukari

It must be said that Netflix has invested resources – and it shows. The platform paid more than $120 million for 8 episodes, which began production in 2021. So it took the teams three years to imagine, shoot and promote The Last Airbender.

It is also interesting that the American giant relied on relatively lesser-known actors, such as the main character Aang (Gordon Cormier).

If the quality is there, then Netflix will strike again after the successful adaptation of One Piece. And Avatar will become one of the best series of 2024.
