Round 6: Los Angeles gets a series-themed space

You must be a fan of Round 6. No? So you probably know what this series is about. Not even? Well, my friend, my friend, then you must not have lived 2021 properly.

One of the biggest hits in Netflix history, Round 6 is a global phenomenon. Proof of this are the listening records. And it wins the unprecedented Emmy. And the fans’ anxiety for the second season.

Until it arrives (rumors point to a 2024 launch), the streaming service continues to recycle the format. First with the reality show “The Challenge” and now with an immersive experience that promises to transport you into the universe of the Korean series.

Netflix has partnered with Samsung Electronics to launch the so-called “Squid Game: The Trials”.

It’s 70 minutes in a location where you have to overcome 6 challenges similar to those in the series.

Of course the doll won’t actually shoot! But you have to walk across the room without the sensor seeing you.

Or even nicely outline the figure of an umbrella on the screen of a Galaxy S23 Ultra, with the S Pen stylus.

Compete with other contestants and the best score is worth a shortcut to the casting of the second season of the reality show Round 6: The Challenge.

Don’t want to participate in any reality show? Ok, it’s worth it just for the experience – and for the “Squid Mart”, a space next door, where you can try typical South Korean food and drinks – complete with a big screen to watch people play.

Only in Los Angeles – for now

You’re excited? I’m almost wearing the red jumpsuit! Maaaas, Round 6: The Trials currently only takes place in Los Angeles (USA). And for a limited period: the room will only remain open until New Year’s Eve.

Netflix and Samsung inform that the idea is to bring the experience to other cities next year. And not just in the United States (a tip is that Brazilian fans are the best!).

A single ticket costs US$39. The VIP experience costs US$99.

More information on the official websites of Netflix and from SAMSUNG.
