Baby Boss 2: A Family Affair, as its title suggests, is a sequel to Baby Boss. Released in 2017, this DreamWorks film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and grossed over $500 million worldwide.
Tom McGrath, the director of the first opus, returns to helm this sequel, which attracted more than a million viewers to French cinemas. The director was initially hesitant to return the camera as he had completed five films and wanted to take a break. “Baby Boss was my favorite project after that MadagascarAnd at first I just wanted to tell the story of two brothers”he says.
“And then, I was wondering what we might talk about in Chapter Two”continues the filmmaker. “I said to myself, ‘We finished the first book when Tim came of age and then we could pick up where we left off.’ Tom McGrath then drew his own story with his brother to tell the journey of Tim and Ted, who drifted apart and chose very different paths.
Keep in mind that after Prince of Egypt, Road to Eldorado, Soul, Horseman of the Plains, and Kung Fu Panda, among others, acclaimed composer Hans Zimmer is collaborating with DreamWorks Animation again for Baby Boss 2. He does find Steve. Mazzaro, with whom he created the score for the first film.
Tonight on TF1 at 21:10.
