Un Si Grand Soleil preview: Tuesday, January 2, 2024 episode recap [SPOILERS]

Warning, the following paragraphs contain spoilers for the episode of Un Si Grand Soleil airing tomorrow night on France 2! If you don’t want to understand anything, don’t read the following!

Ian is trying to recover

Ian was released from prison, but it seems he didn’t come out of the ordeal unscathed. While running, he came across a runner and chased him, convinced that it was Pierre.

Once back at Johanna’s house, he tells her about his mistake and admits that he feels like losing his mind. Johanna tries to calm him down and tell him that it’s normal for him to be upset.

He went through a terrible tragedy, but he will overcome it. Ian then tells him that he has a meeting with Becker this morning to find out when he can return to work. The lawyer suggests saying that he needs some time to rest. Ian agrees with him.

In the courtroom, Judge Laplace informs Nathan Lavernier and Maitre Daumier that he requires them to be remanded in custody for the attempted murder of Johanna Lemeur. They face life imprisonment for murder and attempted murder.

Ian, on the other hand, goes to the police station. Becker is excited to be cleared and asks how she is doing. Ian admits to him that he doesn’t know if he can do his job yet because he really thought about killing Pierre Luhan.

Clement realizes he’s asking questions, but he’s sure he’s a great cop. He advises her to take some time to think about it all and come back as soon as she is ready as they are needed at the police station. Clement then informs him that he will be summoned by the IGPN, stressing that this is just a simple formality.

A little later, Sabine, Hugo, Alex, Mo, Johanna and Ian meet at La Paillote to toast the latter’s release. The atmosphere is relaxed, but Ian must have had a hard time enjoying the moment.

Akim walks away from Estelle

When he gets to the office, Guilhem asks Margo if he could see Akim like she suggested. With tears in her eyes, Margot confided in him that she would not talk to him, because he had already changed her. He is determined to forget the young policeman, he has already wasted too much time with him. Gilham is disappointed.

Not far from there, Akim and Estelle return from the weekend. Estelle loved their excursion. He wants another romantic weekend and suggests to Akim that they go to Etang de Tau next time. Akim shows little enthusiasm.

After arriving home, Estelle hands over the keys to Akim so he can take her things to the apartment while she goes shopping. The young policeman seems very far away. He takes the opportunity to tell Estelle that she shouldn’t get the wrong ideas.

They had a good time together, but she is not looking for a serious relationship. Akim adds that when he goes to practice, everything between them will be over. He returns the keys and leaves without saying anything. Estelle takes the blow with difficulty.

At the police station, Akim confides in Ellis that he was right. He and Estelle don’t have the same expectations. He explains to her that he was obviously with Estelle. He doesn’t want to think she was playing with him.

In turn, Estelle gives Chloe a massage session, telling her about her relationship with Robin. Estelle is tense and pointedly points out that she is a massage therapist, not a psychologist. Chloe retorts that she’s her client and that she’s not here for a massage and attacks. Chloe leaves. Once alone, Estelle breaks down in tears.

A little later, she calls Guillem to postpone a massage session scheduled for that evening. He doesn’t feel well. Gilham is concerned. Estelle then confides in him that her relationship with the man she talked to is not going well. Gilham then suggests they go out for a drink together so she can clear her mind. Estelle lets herself be convinced.

Margot, on the other hand, goes to meet Akim in front of the police station. She admits to him that she saw him in charming company and notes that he wasted no time in changing her. Akim replies that he has not changed, but, yes, he has met someone.

Margot then asks him if the news knows that his grand declarations of love are nothing but wind. Akim is ironic and reminds that he was the one who did not want to believe in their relationship. He then calls Margot “sick” and advises her to get treatment.

In the evening, Gilham finds Estelle. He feels that he is losing everything. Gilham tries to comfort her by telling her that she is a beautiful, generous and sunny woman. In his eyes, he is a gift, and there should be no doubt about that.

But Estelle doesn’t understand why she feels her life is miserable. Then she laid her head on Gilham’s shoulder and burst into tears. The latter reassures him and assures him that he is by his side.
