CBS revealed, this Tuesday (2), the first teaser for the seventh and final season of Young Sheldonseries derived from The Big Bang Theoryfamous sitcom released in 2007. The preview shows many events from the life and family of the young genius (Iain Armitage), including difficult farewells.
Carry the responsibility of maintaining the legacy of The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon is one of CBS’ biggest hits right now: the show has 2.5 million weekly viewers.
Written and produced by Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro (the same as the original production), the series tells the story of the childhood of child prodigy Sheldon Cooper, the genius played by Jim Parsons for 12 years in THE Big Bang.
According to Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, the decision to end the series was due to the team’s belief that all content related to the “parent series” had already been presented, following the timeline and stories told by Sheldon (Jim Parsons ) in big Bang.
Furthermore, Reisenbach pointed this out Young Sheldon demonstrated that “dyes, lightning can fall in the same place”, referring to the resounding success of both series. The Big Bang Theory it launched in 2007 and remained on the air until 2019, when some cast members decided to move on to new challenges.
