WARNING, THE FOLLOWING PARAGRAPHS CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR IT’S ALL BEGINNING WEDNESDAY EVENING ON TF1! If you don’t want to understand anything, don’t read the following!
On Wednesday, January 3, it all starts here…
Mark reveals his feelings to Clotilde
At the institute, Mark and Clotilda meet in the park. The latter does not want to talk about parting with Joachim. Mark does not insist. Instead, he shares his impressions of their extreme module, and specifically how much Deva impressed him. At the same time, they look aside and notice the hand injuries. The young lady minimizes the incident and ensures that she can participate in the next day’s event without any problems.
Afterwards, Clotilda finds her sister and confides in her concerns about the rest of her module. Mark comes to interrupt them to share his ideas for the second test. He notices that Clotilda is having doubts. He promises to shut down their module at the slightest problem. Relieved, Clotilde agrees to prepare for a new test.
Meanwhile, in the dressing room, David overhears Deva and Jasmine talking. Once alone, he runs into Judas. The latter prompts him to trust. David admits that he is suffering from his breakup with Deva and all he can think about is drinking. Although Judy advises him to go talk to his ex, David refuses to admit that he is an alcoholic.
In turn, Mark and Clotilde seek Gaetan’s help to oversee and secure their next test: an obstacle course where students overcome obstacles to recover ingredients useful for their recipe. Highly motivated, Gaetan agrees to help them.
Later, Clotilda approaches Joachim in the park. The tension is restored immediately. Joachim believes that they have nothing more to say to each other. Clotilde adds that even if the breakup hurts her, she realized that their relationship was going nowhere. Turning on her heel, Clotilde joins Mark.
Gaitan then finds Joachim and tells him that he would be happy to supervise the next test of the extreme module. Joachim seems more reserved and confused about this potentially dangerous concept. He also mentions that Deva has injured her hand. But Gaetan undercuts things. He tells Joachim that the next day’s exam is an intense obstacle course and he won’t hesitate to push the students to their maximum.
Meanwhile, Mark and Clotilde meet in the kitchen to choose a recipe for the students to use for the next exam. Marc suggests revisiting Auguste Armand’s recipe, in this case the only bulletin. Along the way, Mark can’t help but reminisce, especially the night he spent with Clotilda. He adds that he can’t stop thinking about it and wonders if they missed a big story. Then, when faced with discomfort, Mark prefers to act as if nothing happened. Clotilda takes advantage of the meeting to put things on hold.
Joachim, in turn, goes to the commissar to take Penelope aside and warn her of the nature of the ordeal the next day. Although the young woman does not want to give up the module, Joachim opens his eyes to the dangers: his heart risks giving up…
The tension between Claire and Carla
At the seminar, during Guino’s class, Carla tells Berenica about the discussion she had with Rose the previous day, during which they particularly criticized Guino. Meanwhile, the chef interrupts their conversation to ask Carla about her recipe. Since he didn’t follow her instructions, Claire asks him to do it all over again. Annoyed, Carla whispers to Berenice that Rose was right about her when she called him out. But Chef Gunot understands this reflection.
That’s why it’s late to present Carla’s finished plate compared to her comrades. Guinot tasted it, forced to admit that the recipe was successful. However, the boss wants to remind her that she can’t be abusive just because she’s a rose’s daughter.
Later, Guinot suggested that Rose speak for a master’s degree. But he considers his proposals too classical. Claire takes the opportunity to go back to the reflection she heard from Carla. He suggests that Rose keep what she thinks to herself and not share it with the gossipiest student who happens to be her daughter. Rose apologizes.
Rose goes to the park and scolds Carla for repeating to Guinot what they said to each other. Carla defends herself and explains that Guino overheard the comment she made to Berenice. The young girl adds that being a chef can also be self-deprecating. Reuniting with Carla, Rose vows not to repeat what they say to each other.
Mehdi has a click
In the cafeteria, Olivia tells Zachary what Yves Lejeune told Mehdi at his concept presentation. Everyone agrees that despite his best efforts, he can’t clean up his recipes enough. Zachary Mehdi then asks the student to get outside help. He thinks about Solal.
Olivia goes to the studio where Mehdi is already working on all his recipes. She offers him to settle down and get the outside opinion of a student, in this case Solali. When Mehdi gets angry, Olivia points out that Solal helped Zakaria a lot with the Christmas dessert.
Later, Solal joins Mehdi in the studio and collects his recipes to fix some problems. He is trying to understand that he has to adapt to the demand for school meals. However, Mehdi does not want to be satisfied with this.
In the orchard, Mehdi finds Hortense to confide in her his suspicions. He believes that he is perfectly capable of carrying out his project. However, she wonders if he really wants it deep down. Something clicked after Mehdi: she realized she should never stop baking, her true passion.
