Just hours after the first version of Mickey Mouse entered the public domain last Monday (1), the iconic character has already gotten an evil version. He appears as a killer in the first teaser for the slasher Mickey’s Mouse Trap.
In the film the Disney character is a ruthless killer who decides to interrupt the surprises for the protagonist Alex’s 21st birthday by proposing a cruel game. Dressed like Mickey Mouse from the short The steamboat Williefrom 1928, the villain turns what was supposed to be a fun visit to an arcade into a nightmare for her and her friends.
Described as a horror comedy, Mickey’s Mousetrap was written by Simon Phillips and filmed, edited and directed by Jamie Bailey. For now, the release date of the film has not been announced. The information comes from Omelette.
