The American platform Hulu has released the poster and trailer for “Death and Other Details”, a mystery miniseries that revolves around a murder on the high seas. This sort of contemporary “Death on the Nile” also has its own detective Poirot, named Rufus Cotesworth and played by Mandy Patinkin (of “Homeland”).
When an insufferable passenger is killed, the main suspect falls on Imogene Scott (played by Violett Beane, from the series “The Flash”), caught on camera entering the victim’s room at night to take revenge. However, the detective decides to dismiss her as a suspect and turn her into an assistant in his investigation. To prove her innocence, she agrees to form an alliance with Cotesworth, described as the world’s greatest detective.
The preview shows Imogene and Cotesworth working together to unravel the mystery, with the help of Rahul Kohli’s character (“iZombie”), and realizing that their efforts face powerful resistance and billionaire interests.
“Death and Other Details” is the creation of Mike Weiss (writer-producer of “Chicago PD”) and Heidi Cole McAdams (writer-producer of “The 100”), who are also responsible for executive producing and writing the series. Directing is none other than Marc Webb, known for directing the two “The Amazing Spider-Man” films.
Production will begin on January 16 in the United States, with the first two episodes, followed by weekly releases until the double finale on March 5. There are no forecasts for Brazil yet, the series should arrive here on Star+
