In 2024, the country will have five more professionals on the board of directors of the top football entity and has a total of 60 members
Starting this year, Brazil will have five additional referees on the board FIFA, including field judges, assistants and video referees. In total, the Brazilian “team” will now have 60 members, including football, futsal and beach football referees.
The reinforcements are Rodrigo Pereira of Pernambuco and Rafael Klein of Rio Grande do Sul, as on-field referees; Fernanda Kruger of Mato Grosso and Maíra Mastella Moreira of Rio Grande do Sul, as assistant referees; and Diego Pombo Lopez of Bahia, as video referee.
The Brazilian referee team now has 17 field referees, 19 assistants, 12 video assistants, eight for futsal and four for beach football. Professionals who now have the FIFA emblem on their uniforms become eligible to play in international matches.
If some get on the list, others leave. This is the case of Sávio Pereira Sampaio (DF) and Wagner do Nascimento Magalhães (RJ).
