Vasco debuted in the São Paulo Junior Football Cup, this Friday (5), with a 1-1 draw against Macapá. The match took place at Ninho do Corvo, in Guarulhos. Goalkeeper Ronaldo, from the team from the north of the country, got caught up in the ball and scored against it. Macapá equalized in the final phase, through Jeremias. The match was valid for the 1st round of Group 29 of the competition.

The result was not entirely negative for the teams. Both are tied with one point each in the competition standings. It is worth remembering, moreover, that there are 32 groups, and the two best will advance to the direct elimination phase.

Vasco, therefore, returns to play in the Copinha round of 16 against Potyguar Seridoense-RN. The match will take place next Monday (8th), at 3.15pm. On the 11th, in the third round, Gigante da Colina will also face Guarulhos’ Flamengo at the same time.
