Warning, spoilers! The following article shows the final scene of “Saltburn”.
In the final moments of Emerald Fennell’s film, there is a real frenzy on social networks, Oliver – the character played by Barry Keoghan – walks completely naked through the corridors of the large residence to the beat of the hit. Murder on the dance floor By Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Her dance marks her victory after every member of Cataton’s family, the Artistocrats, has been destroyed to take the place.
Behind this scene is primarily a message about class politics, one of the film’s themes. A character from the middle class wins over the strong. On social networks, especially TikTok, several Internet users have set themselves a challenge: to reproduce the last sequence of the film.
The only problem is that some people seem to miss Saltburn’s message entirely. The scene in the film is enjoyable because it is the whole system – of the privileged caste – that is being undermined. The weakest dominates the strong. On TikTok, subscribers walk into their parents’ mansions and show off their wealth – the exact opposite of a feature film.
A few examples, among many others:

Nevertheless, these TikToks have millions of views on the platform and allow singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s song to regain popularity almost 23 years after its release.
In an interview with AlloCiné, lead actor Barry Keoghan – nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance – particularly returned to filming this now-iconic scene, which required… eleven.
