Mário Jorge Lobo Zagallo, the Old Wolf, died on Friday night (5), at the age of 92, in Rio de Janeiro. The only four-time world champion (as a player in 1958 and 1962, as a coach in 1970 and as an assistant coach), he has received numerous tributes from clubs, players and internet users on social media.




Velho Lobo, as well as in the Brazilian national team, made the history of the country’s clubs, both as a player and as a coach. At Botafogo, Zagallo was a teammate of Nilton Santos and Garrincha, where he also coached Flamengo, Vasco, Fluminense and Bangu.
