Many people have dreamed of an animated version of the events of George Lucas’ Star Wars prequel, in the style of The Clone Wars, and specifically of a certain epic battle: wait no longer, the dream will come true!
This is the scene every fan was waiting for when Revenge of the Sith hit our screens in 2005: the duel between Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor) and Anakin (Hayden Christensen), with the latter succumbing to the dark side of the Force. And if you’re one of those who’s been waiting for an animated version of it, you’re in for a treat: Hello There Animations has done it!
- This is what Luke Skywalker looks like if you combine the faces of Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman!
Indeed, after getting a little taste of what these video games can deliver, a new animated short Hello There released on YouTube finally gives us a real glimpse of what an animated remake could look like. Look … and it is perfect!
Following Brickstory Builds, which recreated the Galactic Senate Chamber with 500,000 LEGOs, another fanfare shines. As Ben Johnson, the mastermind (and arguable fan) behind the project explains, after years of hard work and dedication, he unveiled this reinvention of the iconic scene on December 30th. So he used the aesthetics of the last seasons of The Clone Wars to recreate this legendary battle… and the result is incredible.
