We Smile for the Photo Trailer: A Comedy That Smells Like a Vacation with Jacques Gamblin and Pascal Arbilo

Holidays, Greece and memories of the 98th World Cup … This is the show we smile at in the photo, the trailer of which was recently released.

We follow a colorful family that decides to return to Greece together as the summer of 98: Thierry (Jacques Gamblin) spends his days classifying family photos, convinced that the best is behind him. When Claire (Pascal Arbilo), his wife, tired of “being better before”, tells him to leave him, Thierry is devastated to offer to remake “Greece 98”, their best family vacation.

Officially, he wants to spend one last week with his children before they announce their separation. Unofficially, he hopes to get his wife back … but the children (Agnes Hurstel and Pablo Pauli), now in their thirties, are less obedient than they were 20 years ago, and hunting for souvenirs on Greek roads quickly makes everyone tired. In an attempt to revive his couple’s fire, Thierry risks the family starting a fire …

We smile at the photo presented at the Alpe d’Huez Comedy Festival in January last year (the special prize of the jury, chaired by Michel LaRoche) and which we were able to see in this case, is a pure comedy holiday, with lightness but also nostalgia, even melancholy.

The film enjoys good actors, mixes Jacques Gamblin (The Name of People, The Incredible Story of Postman Cheval) and Pascal Arbilot (Currently starring in the series Funny Netflix and soon Irréductible by Jérôme Commandeur) For parents and actors, Pablo Pauli (seen in the film Patients), Agnes Hurstel (comedian and comedian in the series, and comedian Ludovic) are the first feature film for the youngest comedian.

It should be noted that this is the first feature film by François Uzan, a screenwriter who worked especially for Netflix on the TV series Lupine, Promise for TF1, or even a family business, always for Netflix.
