4.4 million releases at the box office: this is the most watched French comedy in cinemas in 2023!

In 2022, no French film made it into the top 10 films with the most participation of the year. At the end of 2023, 3 of them will be part of it and the first… Asterix and Obelix! It is followed by Alibi.com 2 and The Three Musketeers by D’Artagnan.

What are the results of French films in the annual report? “Once again, French cinema showed its strength and vitality in theaters with a great variety of works that met their audiences, such as Asterix and Obelix: The Middle Kingdom (4.5 million), Alibi.com 2 (4.2 million), Two Parts of the Three Musketeers (approx. 5.0 million cumulative), 3 Days Max (1.9 million), Miracle – The Movie (1.6 million), Anatomy of the Fall (1.2 million), trailers (1.1 million), I’ll Always See Your Face ( 1.1 million), My Crime (1.1 million), Animal Kingdom (1.0 million), Small Victories (around 900,000 entries), Consent (600,000 entries) or the documentary Sur l’Adamant (125,000 entries) and Les Filles d’Olfa (126,000 records)CNC was mentioned in the press release published on January 2.

9 – I’ll Always See Your Face: 1.16 million records

10 – My Crime: 1.09 million records

We note in this top the presence of Autumn Anatomy, the 2023 Palme d’Or branch, which was therefore able to combine critical and public success. Chosen to represent France at the Oscars, Dodin Bouffant’s Passion failed to attract a large audience and settled for 228,038 entries.
