This is what the survey carried out by the State Data Analysis System (Seade) revealed, published on Thursday 11th. According to the research, in the penultimate month of last year alone, the creation of formal jobs in the São Paulo market increased by 0 .4% compared to October of the same year.
In the last 12 months there have been 399 thousand, with a growth of 3%. The balance represents 27% of the 1.5 million jobs created in the country in the period.
“São Paulo is responsible for almost 30% of all formal jobs created in Brazil in 2023. There are more than half a million new vacancies in all sectors of the economy,” said Governor Tarcísio de Freitas. “Our government is taking concrete steps to increase income generation and opportunities. We are making a difference with actions and programs that support all those who want to undertake and invest in São Paulo.”
Despite the number, the number of job vacancies is lower than in the same period of the previous year, 2022. According to Seade data, in the first 11 months of 2022, the State of Sao Paulo had a balance of 713 thousand, equal to a 29% of the 2.5 million jobs created in the country.
