Netflix: A Shark Invades the Seine in Paris 2024!

The shark is coming to Paris! The next French feature film from Netflix from Xavier Gens (Hitman, Frontière(s)) has its poster and estimated release date: mark your calendars, a fearsome shark will invade the Seine this summer, so swimming is avoided.

Blood and cold sweat in the show, as the synopsis suggests. Indeed, the film tells the story of Sofia, a brilliant scientist, who is warned by Mika, a young environmental activist, about the presence of a large shark in the muddy depths of the Seine, and the triathlon world championship will be needed. A place on the Parisian river for the first time in the summer of 2024. The two women have no choice but to team up with Adil, the head of the river police, to prevent a bloodbath in the heart of the French capital.

Billed as a political satire, the film, already dubbed “Teeth of the Seine” by The Times, is actually part of the times (minus the sharks, we hope) as Paris prepares to host the next Olympic and Paralympic Games, from July 26 to August 11, 2024, and the Seine’s waters need to be cleaned up. For this occasion.

Sous la Seine will be worn by Bérénice Bejo ( Le Passé, The Artist ) and Nassim Lyes ( En passant pécho, Overdose ), who we have already seen in the first two photos that represent the rediscovery of the film below. The thriller will also star Leah Leviant, who can be seen in the TV series Mortel and Profilage.
