You may not have noticed, but Bradley Cooper made a very secret cameo in this movie, part of a monster series.
Hollywood is full of actors who steal the show and bring audiences to the cinema, but these stars often appear only as cameos in the films in which they have been invited and, in many cases, we perhaps don’t even realize it.
Bradley Cooper had a special participation 10 Cloverfield Street (2016). If you don’t remember the science fiction actor it’s because he never physically appears: we only hear his voice. He plays Ben, Michelle’s ex-boyfriend (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and is heard talking on the phone with the protagonist at the beginning of the film.
The director was responsible for this special participation in the production JJ Abramsproducer of 10 Cloverfield Street. He has a long-standing friendship with Bradley Cooper, which began after they worked together on the series Indeed.
“We just remained friends,” JJ Abrams explained in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “When we were working on the movie, I wanted you to know to make sure we had a voice we loved. We were talking about who that great voice would be and then I asked, ‘What if it’s Bradley?’ I texted Bradley and asked if he was interested in doing it.”
“And he, like the guy, responded and said, ‘You know what you want.’ He’s just the best, so it was a really easy thing to do,” the director added. The curious thing is that this special appearance was also a surprise for Mary Elizabeth Winste…
