Miles Teller had kerosene in his blood while filming Top Gun: Maverick. When Tom Cruise found out, he had a classic answer

Be part of Top Gun: Maverick it was not an easy task. The launch Dissident he had to be willing and able to undergo extensive flight training, and of course that job was long and far from easy. For Miles Teller, this turned out to be an even tougher experience than most, but he shrugged off and got the best response from Tom Cruise.

During an appearance on Late at night with Seth Myers, Miles Teller reveals that after his first foray into a jet, he ended up in poor condition. He was feeling sick, had hives all over his body and more. A blood test revealed that he had wild things like fire retardant and jet fuel in his blood. He told Tom Cruise this in what Teller probably thought was the coolest way possible, but he may have gotten an even more interesting response from Cruise. The cashier explains …

I go to the set the next day and Tom says, ‘How did it go, Miles? What did you find? I was like, ‘Well, Tom, I happen to have jet fuel in my blood.’ And without missing a beat, Tom says, ‘Yeah, I was born with that, boy.’ So that was a very Tom moment for me.

To be fair, Tom Cruise was probably born with kerosene in his blood. Cruise isn’t just willing to perform the vast majority of his hands-on stunts insist on it. Tom Cruise is known for firing insurance companies. it wouldn’t guarantee film production for all the crazy things it wanted to achieve. There must be something running through Tom Cruise’s veins that makes him more willing than most to face such dire situations. Aircraft fuel is as valid an explanation as any. for years before Top Gun: Maverick If there was a real project, the only thing Cruise insisted on was that if the film was to be made, real planes would be used.

It certainly appears that Miles Teller has recovered from literally having airplane fuel running through his veins. Maybe this is something that normally happens when you are near the jets? Teller says he has very sensitive skin, but I’m not sure anyone’s skin will be perfectly fine if they have flame retardants and jet fuel on their body. Finished in good condition Teller will be the source of a viral dance craze .

For what it’s worth, it seems like the sacrifice was worth it. Top Gun: Maverick it’s a big box office hit at a time when other films, like the latest Pixar movie, they obviously fight . These hands-on action sequences using real airplanes get much of the credit for the film’s success.
